Good Bye Mount Zion? I think not.

  • The passage which keeps coming into my head in this is Matthew 18:20

For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.

Although it is really sad that the building of Mount Zion is gone, it was only a building. Like Pastor Steve Mawston said to the news crews, "Our church is not a building - it is about people." Just because the building is gone doesn't mean the church is. At the risk of quoting too much bible stuff...ah who cares. What also keeps coming into my head is that song that goes

"Your ways are higher than our ways and the plans that you have made are good and true."

I'm sure all prayers for the leadership teams and all the members at Zion would be totally apprieciated. Prayers for faith, hope, acceptance and all the practical things too. Also for the people who live nearby Mount Zion. There is gonna be alot of focus on the church in the next little while, there's no reason why that can't be used for good!

Disaster has a funny way of bringing people together, I really pray that through this the churches of Norwich will unite as one.

    My last day off

Hmmm what did I do today? Oh I know. I tidyed my room! I really should have done a before and after shot because it really is unrecognisable!!! I'm well impressed. Admittedly I probably haven't tidyed properly since September. (man thats really bad) So now my room is beautiful. And I got inspired to finish off the artiness on the walls
    I did my wardrobe......

They're still not finished yet though, obviously.

Then, inspired by Lou, I paintified my mirror. Yes the ACTUAL mirror. Ha who said I wasn't smart???!!? Lou???

I learnt this bible verse at Spring Harvest 1996. We sang it in a crappy, tuneless little song which I can still remember and sing to you today. Totally awesome. Crappy tuneless little songs work, no doubt about it.

This is my faveourite bible verse of all. I was gonna write the whole thing but my arm got tired and then I got bored. The full thing is

But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31

You can't read this very well be I love it. It says 'A person who makes no mistakes does not usually make amything.' Edward Phelps.

Ah back to work tomorrrow. Tragic.

    Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, LOU-DAY......

Although Louday isn't over yet I shall just post the beginning. We went to the park with Ben today. And halfway round we found a beautiful tree so we climbed it. Lou climbed up a tall straight branch that split in two and sat where it split. I was just taking a picture of her when she slipped and slidded on her arse all the way down the tree. She screamed so loud that I reckon you could have heard her right across the other side of the world. Admittedly she was pretty high. Somehow she landed on her feet (the cat blood in her...) and we were both so shocked she hadn't killed herself we just kinda stood there for a while. Then she was said 'oh, i didn't hurt myself' so we carried on walking.

    Now we're going swimming.

    My future Life

Ok this is just a small upate on my future life. I am going to Egypt on the first of May with Joy, Joy, wonderful Joy.

This is where we're staying. It's in Luxor. I cannot evening begin to say how excited I am, so I'm not gonna try.

Camp America is going ok. I have a really horrible looming feeling though that somethings gonna go really really wrong and I'm not gonna get in. I'm really struggling to get my references in from people and I really really need them but I hate hastleing people. Plus they have to be on headed paper and I keep getting them on plain paper so Camp America won't accept them. Its really starting to stress me. Plus my CRB form has been a problem. So if people could pray about any of those things that would be great. I'm really scared that its all gonna fall through and I'm gonna loose my money and have nothing for over the summer.

And then there's September. I'm pretty much certain that I'm not gonna go to Bath. Thats not the road for me. I'm still thinking about the nursing and I really think that make be the right direction. Al that remains is to sort out what I'm gonna do from September 2006 til September 2007. Staying at Sainsburys isn't an option. I need to have something planned to keep the parents off my back. I'm happy just seeing what happens but I know they will be unbearable if I do. There would be a massacre.

Melon - of the Helen variety.

Yay I went to York on Monday to visit Helen! She's a dude, and ill dude but a dude none the less. The train journey there was great. I love travelling on trains. I get so much done and i love looking out of the window. England is so beautiful. I got the York at about two in the afternoon I think and met my Melon. We went back to her house and set the world to rights, as we always do. Then Helen cooked me pasta and swasheges and broclerri and carrots. Ah she is a good cook! Then we wondered round to her friends house and spent the evening there.

Tuesday she had lectures in the morning and afternoon so I spent the morning finishing my camp america stuff. We went to the park with Sheba and Ange and little Esther (Helen's friends) and played on the swings! Man I love swings. And we fed the ducks!!! Well we tried to but the geese were to well organised and so the ducks didn't get much of a look in. They were nearly as tall as little Esther! The Helen had a lecture and I went back with her friends where we watched boogie beebies (seriously amazing!) That evening we went down to the student union for a drink and I met some more of Helens friendys. Helen had to working that night so I went back with Sheba and co and we watched Much Ado About Nothing. Classic film! Well reccomend it. Well...only if you like Shakespeare.

Wednesday we randomly met up with Hannah Ward (also what a dude!) who happened to bizzarely be inb York visiting the Uni. So we hit the charity shops, of which York has an abundance! Hannah bought gloves and a purse, Helen bought trousers and I bought Green Tea. Deposited Hannah at the bus stop and then headed back to the house for scrambled eggs and rolls. My train was at 2:51 and everything was fine til I got to Peterborough. My train was delayed by about half an hour to start with but it kept getting longer and longer until after an hour and a quarter it was cancelled. They said over the intercom that the next train was at like eight o clock! What a joke!! Did they honestly expect me to sit and freeze my arse off for another 4 hours! So I got a train to Ely then managed to get one to Norwich. In the end I was only two hours late so it could've been much worse. Hehe. What an adventure.

Thankyou for having me to stay Helen! Love you!!
