Agh

I am so annoyed. I hate electrical stuff when it doesn't work properly. It gets me really worked up. Like I am now. Agh. Bloody internet. And cameras. And SO MANY WIRES. *Breathe* We can get through this.

Hmmm well I was gonna post some photos of goings on last weekend but due to technical difficulties they have been postponed. Super.

Still waiting to hear back from Camp Tecumseh. Its been a kinda 'they leave a message, then i leave a message, then they leave a message' type situation. I'm not sure what there is to discuss about my tattoo. It's not like he can talk it off my back. Or I'd let him if he could. Hmmm interesting idea...Anyway, facts are facts. Either it's ok or it's not. I dunno what there is to discuss really.

And can I just let the world know this. Me and Heidi both agree that one of the most ridiculas phrases in the English language is 'Be Careful.' Now just think about it. If someone tells you to 'be careful' do you suddenly think...
"Oh my GOODNESS! I'd never thought of doing that before! I'm so glad they recommended it! What a smashing person!"
No? Funny that. It is a phrase with little meaning and no purpose. So, people who keep telling me to be careful in Egypt (of which there are TOO MANY). I know you care but I'm not a total idiot. Besides, I have Joy to look after me. Lol.
Three days to go.....

I just have to let someone know that I passed my grade 8!!!! I can't beleive it!

Oh too much to say...

First of all here’s a question. Who are the women who allways wear headscarves, skirts and no make up and always pay for their shopping in Sainsburys with gift vouchers…? Are they a religion? If so, is there anything more to it than ‘Thou shalt only buy food with vouchers and wear triangle headscarves and no make up.’ I need some answers

Secondly. I got a load of stuff through from my camp. I was just vaguely reading through it when a small section caught my eye. It said “Piercings and tattoos on staff members will not be tolerated.” Slighto problemo. Ok so my nose I can do something about but my back is there to stay thank you very much. AND it’s the whole principle of the thing, changing yourself to fit someone else’s views. I like my nose stud and I don’t want to have to be re-piercing it every night. It really pisses me off when people make a big thing out of something quite irrelevant. Why should my appearance be placed above my passion for God? The world is twisted. Oh yeah and it also said in BIG letters, “Bras must be worn by all female campers even under tank tops.” Seriously…

Thirdly, had another future-y type crisis, being that yet again if changed my mind on what I want to do. Nursing is so totally not me. It’s not where my skills lie and its certainly not what I enjoy. At the moment I’m looking at this totally awesome course in Winchester, Creative Writing and Performing arts. At the end of the day I just need to look at what I enjoy the most and what I spend most time doing. When I’m at home I spend most of my spare time writing or playing piano. And I am happiest when I am playing or singing, whether it’s in church or in concerts or whatever. But anyway, I’m not gonna do anything for another week or so. I know what a fickle idiot I am!

Fourthly, I went to mercy last night and my ears are STILL ringing. Is that really normal? I’m sure they’re not usually like this. I haven’t been clubbing for a few weeks so maybe they’ve been un-toughened to the noise. Hmmm I really don’t want to go deaf. It was a great night but not great enough for me to sacrifice my hearing. Judith and Charls, I love you both.

Fifthly, I think I’m in love with Anakin Skywalker. I’m sure there are so many things wrong with that on so many levels…

Sixthly,

OH MY GOODNESS, NINE

DAYS TIL EGYPT!!!

Seventhly, agh I have to go to Oasis tomorrow. I'm really starting to hate working there.

Eighthly, um no I think that’s it. Well that’ll do for now anyway. Nighty night :)

6 hours at the US Embassy, now there's a fun day out.

Ooooh what a good few days! Ok starting with Monday. Work, obviously was crappy as usual. Boring boring boring, not gonna waste my breath. BUT fortunately I went out with Joy, Alice, Stephan, Kim, Lucy and another girl who's name I didn't know and rudely didn't find out the whole evening. We went to Lloyds and crewed on up to Liquid, tragically the only place open (except Optic) on a Monday night. (not the biggest fan of Liquid really) It was so bizarre though because EVERYONE seemed to be out. Who goes out on a Monday??? Well loads of my old friends from high school were there which was so cool. Beautiful Laura and Lucy were also there. Loads of people from sixth form were there. Faye from work was there too and her weirdo boyfriend. Tragically (again) my train to London was at 9 the next morning and I really didn't want to miss it so I left at about midnight.

Ah yesterday at the US embassy. Remind me again why I want to go to America?!?!?? To get to the US Embassy I had to walk passed loads of others too. I would have known which was America's even if I was blind I reckon. It was surrounded by concrete blocks, then scaffolding, then more concrete and then more scaffolding. You couldn't get within 50m of it. ALL the other Embassy's you could walk straight through the front door. Hilarious. Also it was swarming with police with machine guns. I arrived at about 11:30 and didn't leave til about 5:30. The actual process took no more than three minutes but there seemed to be at least 1000 people all getting visas. Fortunately for me I met a girl called Emily who was going with Camp America to work in New Jersey. No wasn't standing in the bathrooms all day talking to the mirror, she actually exists, I swear. And a guy call Robert who'd done this about 4 times before. Shockingly, I hadn't forgotten anything and they are very happy to let me in the country. I was a little optimistic in thinking that I would get the 4pm train home from Liverpool Street though. The ticket person said I could either upgrade my ticket to a £65 one (paying about 40 quid) and get the next train home. Or I could wait an hour and pay £1. Hmmm now that really is a tough decision. I got home about 10pm...for £1.

Seventeen days until Egypt....

The Weeks Summary

Ah what a busy week. Here's a brief run down.

Monday - Worked nine and a half hours then went to homegroup.

Tuesday - Spent the morning failing my grade 8 piano again (oh I suck) then worked six hours and felt sorry for myself all evening while watching Narnia (so good) and eating chocolate.

Wednesday - Met up with Emma Nulé for coffee (now thats where the prayer's needed guys), missed my bus to work, arrived late and worked til 10:30pm.

Thursday - Ah what a day. Went shopping with Mum in the morning (ok so not my faveourite pass time but we needed a little bonding session) Then I had a picnic and fed the duckys with Emma Musslewhite at River Green.
This duck reminded me of the ugly duckling. It was quite strange.

And these are our gingerbread lollipops.

Me feeding the duckys

e duckys
Aren't they so beautiful?

After ducky feeding me, Heidi and Alice went to Sea Palling with Ben. Unfortunately none of the photos are suitable for public viewing. And I can't remeber what happened Thursday evening.

Friday - spent the morning sorting out visa money and train tickets stuff. What a chore. Then worked 2:30-10:30 at good old sainsburys.

Today was spent at Oasis as usual. I cannot even describe to you how bored I was. Fortuantely I was rescued by the arrival of wonderful Tanya!!! Management didn't seem to realise that we had known each other since we were like 2 years old and I had to show her all the new stuff as shes covering a shift tomorrow. Needless to say we didnt talk about work much.

Money, wannabe popstars and normality (or lack of)

Well my money for Camp America is finally sorted. I've just got my visa interview on Tuesday 11th April at the US Embassy and then I'm away.

Agh its so tragic, I've always wanted to be in a band right. When me and Alice were younger our plan was to become popstars to make and few million pounds. Then we'd have enough money to build and set up our own veterinary surgery. It was truly a flawless plan...yeah. We even wrote a song and performed it to our parents. It was so bad even my own parents didn't pretend it was good. But anyway, it would be now that I get not one but three requests to join a band. Now, when I'm about to leave England for about 4 months. Typical. Looks like that plan will have to go on hold.

And thankyou guys for your comments. Laura, I love you oh vintage one and miss you loads. Auntie Anne and Helsalata, I am very happy being different really. It is my lifes aim. One of my biggest fears is to be classed as 'normal' (closely followed by 'an adult') Sometimes though you just want there to be someone, just one person, who thinks like you or who can vaguely understand where your coming from. Don't worry, this is not a pity party! I'm not trying to play the whole 'oh no one understands me' card. I'm just saying, sometimes its abit lonely being the only one on your wavelength. But I'm learning something very good at the moment. Its called perspective :)
